Summary

In addition to being one of the most important parts of our body, language is a phenomenon that expresses people's agreement through words or signs to express their feelings and thoughts. Language is one of the most important achievements of human cognitive evolution. Due to the privileged position of their creation, people have the ability to express what they see and feel in the world through some signs and sounds. The acquisition and development of this skill did not happen all at once. In the beginning, human beings mostly use signs; they probably turned them into sounds by imitating the sounds they heard in nature over time. This included the first periods of the phenomenon we call language. In the Paleolithic Period, when human beings were engaged in hunting and gathering, they began to develop their language by diversifying these sounds. Thus, the number of objects and emotions that they made sense of and voiced began to increase gradually. This development took place in a very long time, in a time period that can be expressed in thousands of years. Languages, the foundations of which were laid with the Paleolithic Period, emerged and developed differently in each clan as they were intra-clan communication tools. This diversity can be considered as the basis of many of today's world languages. In this study, a general evaluation will be made on the middle emergence of the language.

Abstract

With the introduction of agriculture into human life in the Neolithic Period, important developments and changes occurred in the society. It is thought that with these changes and the increase in the population, the language also developed and using of the words increased. Language is a living organism, and accordingly, language develops and changes with the changes and developments in society. The origin of language, how it was born and how it spread has been the most difficult and most curious subject of science. In the research, it is aimed to make a general evaluation about the birth and origin of language. Document analysis method was used in the research. Examining language evolution is difficult due to the scarcity of evidence. Although it is not possible to make a definite interpretation about the birth and origin of language, it can be said that language has existed since the existence of humanity, considering that language does not consist of only speech.
