Summary
As one of the three main types of music education, amateur music education is an education that aims to obtain musical behaviors more interested and willingly not necessarily getting formal music education. The aim of this research is to examine and analyze the lesson durations, course contents and the problems that arise during and outside the classroom in the teacher education institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Sivas. In this study group of this research, semi-structured questions were asked about the problems faced by the educators, who work in the center of the province of Sivas, in four central districts, who work at the music education institutions. The content analysis technique was use of the analysis of the data obtained from the interview form. In this study in which 16 participants participated, it was determined that it was preferred that the course durations be between 40-60 minutes. Conclusion and recommendations were prepared from the findings obtained from the semi-structured interview form. Among the problems faced by the educator’s problems such as the absenteeism of the students in the instrument education lessons and the lack of attention to the instrument studies have emerge. As a result of this findings there are suggestions for instrument teaching method and general education process in the foundations that provide musical education in Sivas.

Abstract
Müzik eğitiminin üç ana türünden biri olan özengen (amatör) müzik eğitimi, bireyin zorunlu olarak müzik eğitimi alması değil daha çok ilgili ve istekli bir şekilde müziksel davranışlar kazandırmayı amaçlayan bir eğitimdir. Bu araştırma; Sivas ilindeki Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı’na bağlı özengen müzik eğitimi veren kurumlardaki eğitimcilerin, ders süreleri, ders içeriklerini ve özengen çalgı eğitiminde ders esnasında ve ders dışında ortaya çıkan problemleri incelemeyi ve analiz etmeyi amaçlamıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Sivas ili sınırları içerisinde 4 Merkez ilçesinde yer alan, özengen müzik eğitimi kurumlarında görev alan eğitimcilerin, özengen çalgı eğitimi ile ilgili karşılaştığı problemler hakkında yarı yapılandırılmış sorular sorulmuştur. Görüşme formundan elde edilen, verilerin analizinde “içerik analiz” tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. 16 katılımcının katıldığı bu çalışmada ders sürelerinin 40-60 dakika arasında yapılmasının tercih edildiği saptanmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formundan elde edilen bulgulardan sonuç ve öneriler hazırlanmıştır. Eğitimcilerin karşılaştıkları problemlerde çalgı eğitimi derslerinde öğrencilerin devamsızlık durumu ve çalgı çalışmalarına özen gösterilmemesi gibi problemler ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu bulgular sonucunda Sivas’taki özengen müzik eğitimi veren kurumlarda çalgı öğretim yöntemleri ve genel eğitim sürecine yönelik öneriler bulunmaktadır.
