Summary
Education is a dynamic process that begins at birth and continues throughout life. This dynamic structure of education has carried it beyond formal educational environments such as school or classroom. As a result, out-of-school education environments have become an integral part of the education process in today's World and act as a bridge between the school and real life and strengthen their relationship. In this context, museums are one of the most widely and effectively used ones. Today, museums are not only the places where the ruins and objects belonging to the past are preserved and exhibited, but also they have taken the role of education too. In this sense, museums are considered as places of education that support, parallel and complemantry of the learning processes in school and provide students enrrichment in learning. It is seen that this widespreading approach in the Western World has not yet reached the desired level in our country. It is observed that the studies on the use of museums in education are concentrated in some subjects in our country. Although it is one of the subject where museums can be used most actively, the studies for the geography lesson are extremely limited. For this reason, it is also important that new studies on how to use museums in geography lessons are sample studies that teachers will find the opportunity to directly apply. It is important to carry out realistic studies that are not limited to the theoretical framework but offer the opportunity to be applied directly in order to eliminate the aforesaid deficiency. With this study, it is aimed to contribute to this elimination. A sample study is carried out including the preliminary preparations, possible activities during and after the museum education, measurement and evaluation by choosing an outcome included in the geography lesson curriculum.

Abstract
Eğitim doğumla başlayan ve tüm hayat boyunca süren dinamik bir süreçtir. Bu dinamik yapısı eğitimi okul veya sınıf gibi resmi eğitim ortamlarının dışına taşırmıştır. Bu bakışın bir sonucu olarak günümüz dünyasında okul dışı eğitim ortamları da eğitim sürecinin ayrılmaz bir parçası haline dönüşmüştür. Çünkü bu tür okul dışı eğitim ortamları bir yönüyle okul ile gerçek hayat arasındaki köprü görevi görmekte ve eğitimin gerçek hayat ile ilişkisini güçlendirmektedir. Bu bağlamda müzeler en yaygın ve etkin olarak kullanılan okul dışı eğitim ortamlarından biridir. Günümüzde müzeler geçmişe ait kalıntıların, nesnelerin, objelerin korunduğu ve sergilendiği mekânlar olmaktan çıkarak bu işlevlerine ek olarak eğitim rolünü de üstlenmiştir. Bu manada müzeler okuldaki öğrenme süreçlerini destekleyen, onunla koşut ve tamamlayıcı eğitim mekânları olarak görülmekte öğrencilere çok zengin öğrenmeler sağlamaktadır. Batı dünyasında yaygınlaşan bu bakışın ülkemizde henüz arzu edilen seviyede gerçekleşmediği görülmektedir. Ülkemizde müzelerin eğitimde kullanılması konusunda yapılan çalışmaların bazı derslerde yoğunlaştığı ve müzelerin en aktif kullanılabileceği derslerden biri olmasına karşın coğrafya dersi için yapılan çalışmaların son derece sınırlı sayıda kaldığı görülmektedir. Bu sebeple coğrafya dersinde müzelerin nasıl kullanılacağına ilişkin yapılacak yeni çalışmaların öğretmenlerin doğrudan uygulama imkânı bulacağı örnek araştırmalar olması da önemlidir. Teorik çerçeve ile sınırlı kalmayıp doğrudan uygulanma imkânı sunan gerçekçi çalışmaların yapılması söz konusu eksikliğin giderilmesi için önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışma ile bu eksikliğin giderilmesine katkı sunmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda coğrafya dersi öğretim programında yer alan bir kazanım seçilerek müze eğitimi öncesinde yapılması gereken ön hazırlıklar, müze eğitimi sırasında yapılabilecek etkinlikler ve müze eğitimi sonrasında yapılabilecek etkinlikleri -ölçme ve değerlendirme- içeren örnek bir çalışma yapılmıştır.
