Summary
Değerler, bir toplumun bütünlüğünü sağlayan, yol gösterici davranış kalıplarıdır. Bireyin ait olduğu toplumun bir parçası olabilmesi için bu davranış kalıplarının aktarılması sağlanmalıdır. Değerlerin aktarımında, aile, okul ve toplum önemli bir rol oynar. Bu çalışmamızda amaç, Tunceli’deki 8.sınıf öğrencilerinin demokratik ve bilimsel değerlere ne derece sahip olduklarını belirlemektir. Bu çalışmada değerlerin tespiti için Akbaş (2004) tarafından geliştirilen Demokratik ve Bilimsel Değerler Ölçeği ve demografik bilgi formu kullanılmıştır. Tunceli’de 2018-2019 eğitim-öğretim yılı 8. Sınıf öğrencileri araştırmanın evrenini oluştururken, 4 ilköğretim okulunda öğrenim gören 245 öğrenci örneklemi meydana getirmektedir. Araştırmada istatistiksel hesaplamalar yapabilmek için SPSS paket programından yararlanılmıştır. Uygulanan istatistiksel hesaplamalar sonucunda okul, cinsiyet, anne-baba eğitim dereceleri, ailenin ekonomik durumu gibi değişkenlerin etkisi incelenmiştir. Öğrenci değerlerinin benimsenmesinde aritmetik ortalama ve standart sapma kullanılmıştır. Anlamlı farklılıkları tespit etmek amacıyla cinsiyet değişkeninde bağımsız örneklem t testi kullanılmıştır. Anne-baba eğitim dereceleri, okul ve ailenin ekonomik durumu değişkenleri için “tek yönlü varyans analizi” (ANOVA) kullanılmıştır. Scheffe testine ise anlamlı fark çıkan grupları belirtmek amacıyla başvurulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda bilimsel ve demokratik değerlerde cinsiyet değişkeninde anlamlı bir farklılık görülürken, okul değişkeninde herhangi bir farklılık tespit edilmemiştir. Ayrıca demokratik değerlerde aile gelir düzeyi, anne ve baba eğitim durumu, değişkenlerinde anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir. Katılımcıların görüşlerindeki anlamlı fark 0.05 seviyesinde test edilmiştir.

Abstract
Values are the guiding patterns of behavior that ensure the integrity of a society. In order for the individual to be a part of the society to which they belong, these behavior patterns should be transferred. Family, school and society play a role in the transfer of values. The aim of this study is to determine the degree of democratic and scientific values of 8th grade students in Tunceli. In order to determine the students’ values arithmetical means and standard deviations were used. The Democratic and Scientific Values Scale and demographic information form developed by Akbaş (2004) were used to determine the values. In Tunceli, 8th grade students of the 2018-2019 academic year constitute the universe of the research, while 245 students studying in four primary schools make up the sample. In the research, SPSS package program was used to make statistical calculations. As a result of the applied statistical calculations, the effects of variables such as school, gender, education levels of parents and economic status of the family were examined. Independent sample t test was used in the gender variable to determine significant differences. “One-way analysis of variance” (ANOVA) was used for parents' education levels, school and family economic variables. Scheffe test was used to indicate the groups with significant differences. As a result of the research, there was a significant difference in the variable of gender in scientific and democratic values, while no difference was found in the school variable. In addition, there were significant differences in democratic values in the variables of education of mother and father, family income level. Whether there were significant differences between the options were tested at the level of 0.05.
