Abstract


THE MEDIATING ROLE OF EMPOWERMENT ON THE AFFECT OF LOCUS OF CONTROL ONTO THE ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT: A SURVEY ON FOUR AND FİVE STARS HOTEL IN THE CITY CENTRE OF ANKARA.
The aim of this study is to put forth the role of mediation of the empowerment on the affect of locus of control onto the organizational commitment in the four and five stars hotel organizations operating in the province of Ankara. The role of mediation mentioned has been examined with hierarchical regression analyses which were applied to the data obtained from 268 transactors, who are working in 13 four and five stars hotel organizations operating in the city centre of Ankara, with questionnaire tecnique. At the end of the study; it has been seen that locus of control has a positive affect on both the organizational commitment and besides, the empowerment has an affect onto the organiztional commitment. But when it has been looked at intermediary role which is the basic problem of the research, it has been understood that the empowerment has a complete intermediary role on the affect of organizational commitment in the locus of control.
