INVESTIGATION OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS’ VIEWS ON KPSS
A graduated teacher candidate has to primarily pass KPSS exam (an exam to be appointed as a client at state) to start a career at government entity. This exam is important to select and appoint the teachers who can perform their professions best among the graduated teachers. It is sometimes an argument subject to make teacher candidates from different disciplines have the same exam. The aim of this research is to define what kind of regulations needs to be done considering Science and Technology teachers’ opinions against the exam. In this study that qualitative research approach is used, the open-ended written form consists of five questions is used to define students’ approaches. Students’ answers were collected written via these forms. Content analysis was done for 113 written documents in this study which is conducted with the student who study at science and technology teaching department from grade 1 to 4. Analysis results show that field exam that was recently added to KPSS exam is good to practice. It can be also taught that oral interview and practice exam can be added when new regulations are done.
