Abstract


A CONCEPTUAL STUDY ON THE COMPARISON OF CONTEMPORARY THEORIES OF LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT IN TERMS OF ISLAMIC PHILOSOPHY

In the development of the management and vital processes of states and societies from past to present; from a philosophical point of view, religion and factors based on it have played a very important role. In this sense, it can be stated that traditional and contemporary leadership and management theories have been influenced and influenced by religious philosophies in many ways. Based on this basic view, in the current period; contemporary leadership and management styles and methods are also shaped on the axis of fundamental principles such as religion, morality, law, economy, history and geography. On the other hand, these issues, societies; it should not be overlooked that it is also shaped by its historical, traditional and cultural heritage. For this reason, it is necessary to consider it in terms of developing effective leadership and management skills and in terms of different philosophies. Therefore, it is believed that the same subject will make significant contributions to providing a new perspective and creating paradigms in contemporary leadership and management theories. Undoubtedly, there is a need for a detailed and in-depth look at the historical process. In this sense, as in other religions, within the cultural dynamics of the Islamic philosophy system; it is inevitable that it has significant effects on contemporary leadership and management theories, and it can be especially emphasized. Considering the main reasons and thoughts in question, this study; it has been developed in order to make a comparison of contemporary leadership and management approaches by considering them from the perspective of Islamic philosophy. In addition, its contribution to the field indicates the importance of the study. In the research part of the study, the qualitative research method was used. In obtaining the research data, the document analysis method was preferred for the examination of Islamic records and documents. As a result of the analysis of the data obtained in the research, it has been determined that there is an interaction between contemporary leadership and management theories and the Islamic thought system. In addition, more detailed examinations and evaluations are also discussed throughout the study.
