THE ANALYSIS OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING PROGRAM OF SCIENCE AND ART CENTERS BASED ON TEACHERS' VIEWS

The aim of this study is to examine English curriculum in Science and Art Centers according to the views of English language teachers who are the practitioners of the programme. The study is a descriptive case research. Using collection. Data collectionwascarriedoutthroughinterview technique which is one of the qualitative data techniques. Theresearch data were obtained through interviews from voluntary English teachers working in Science and Art Center (SAC). 12 English teachers took part in the study group, which was formed by using maximum diversity sampling. The English curriculum was evaluated in terms of outcomes, content, teaching-learning process and evaluation dimensions. Content analysiswasperformedbytransferringtheobtained data to Nvivo 11. When the findings obtained on the basis of teachers' opinionswereexamined, it wasconcludedthattheoutcomesandcontentwere not suitable for student levels, theactivitybook being applied should be updated, and the suggested methods and techniques were sufficient. It was also revealed that the assessment scales were not sufficient and should be enriched.
