TALİM VE TERBİYE KURULULU’NUN KARARLARI IŞIĞINDA TARİH DERSLERİ VE TARİH EĞİTİMİ (1925-1928)
Board of Education is an important institution which contributing for planning, programming and implementation of educational policies. Since its foundation The Board of Education were taken decisions on each subject in the context of formal education, and history is one of these subjects. It is important to analyze these decisions due to understand the educational policies in the beginning of Republic. This study includes The Board of Education’s decisions about teaching history and history textbooks which was accepted between 1925-1928. The limit about dates coused by the alphabet of decisions which written in old Turkish with Arabic Alphabet as known as Ottoman Turkish Script. There are more than one hundred decisions related history or history teaching. The decisions are mainly about history books that accepted or rejected as textbook. Beside these there are many decisions as about atlases and maps, awarded or requested works, who will examine the history textbooks, and works of differet diciplines’ history. This study incluedes some of the decisions which is about history and history teaching.
