The purpose of this study can be said to develop a scale to determine the perception of the teachers towards distributed leadership level in their schools. 868 teachers responded to the scale voulaterlyin Gaziantep city centre. The content and the realibility of the scale was provided with the expert ideas. Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were implemented for construct validity. At the end of EFA, a form explaining the 62.465% of total variance, composed of five factors of formal structure, comman goals, collaboration and confidence, shared responsibility and encouragement and initiative has been obtained. Factor model offered with EFA was tested with CFA. RMSEA was calculated as 0.063 and CFI was calculated as 0.98. CFA results have shown that the form with five factors has sufficient fit-indexes. The calculated Cronbach ? coefficient of internal consistency regarding the reliability of the scale was got as 0.87. Test-retest correlation coefficient was 0.76. Two half tests coefficiency was 0.92. At the end of the analysis conducted, it’s been accepted that “Distributed Leadership Scale” is valid and reliable.
