Abstract


SOSYO-EKONOMİK VE KÜLTÜREL AÇIDAN PAZARCI-KÖYLÜ KADINLAR: BALIKESİR ÖRNEĞİ
Bazaars are one of the important shopping places where the daily producers and consumer relations are intense. They also reflect the socio-economic and cultural characteristics of the regions they settled and show the changes and transformations of societies including the with the terms of urbanization and modernization. In this study, it is interviewed with villager women who live in the villages located nearby in the center of the city, Balikesir. The women spend amount of their lives with agricultural activities and sell their agricultural products in local bazaars in the center of the city. In accordance the data we collected, it is aimed to make an evaluation on the socio-economic and cultural aspects of the villager women and their bazaar activities in the center of Balikesir.
